I am working with my classmates Chris ( tanzania) and Alba (australia), and I must admit it is quite difficult to figure out how to improve children's education in very poor and remote areas. So please any hints  on these issues very welcome¡¡

How can we get the technical and logistic support to educate parents and slave masters on the Volta Lake to stop using child laboures in the their trade and allow this children to go to school for advancement of mankind. Fishing in Lake Volta (with a surface area of 8,480 km2 and 5,200 km of shoreline) contributes about 90% of the total inland fishery production in Ghana, which is around 90,000 MT. About 80,000 fishers and 20,000 fish processors and traders are engaged in the Lake Volta fishery. There are 17,300 canoes actively fishing in the Lake Volta. The species exploited are mainly Cichlids or Tilapia (38.1%), Chrysichthys spp. (34.4%) and synodontis spp (11.4%) others (16.1%). The fishing gears used is cast and gill nets, hook-and line, and traps etc. In all the sad issue on the massive gift of GOD is the act of child labourers dieing and suffering. Help with your comments and advise. Thanks in advance.

Hi Sarita and Bernard for your comments.

For many people in development, education is the one key to the alleviation of poverty and suffering.

How can we get such an important group up and running in a more aggressive way?

Would one of you like to be the moderator?

We certainly have a lot of talent and energy in this group.

I look forward to hearing from you.

sincerely,

Tim

Thanks Asarita for such an encouraging comment. Few in the world believe that education is the foudation of human growth and development, majority think it is time consuming, but onece the tower goes up then every one is able to see from any distance, let's continue laying the foundation in the society so as to raise many of such strong and tall towers. I am much encourage by your humanity acts. we shall followyour foot step. May God bless for years!

Let me introduce myself. I have taught students with special needs for 38 years, and run the Guatemalan School
Fund, a small organization that does fund-raising to assist people in Ixchiguan, Guatemala, to attend school. Some of my goals are to increase the number of students we serve, then find ways to help the schools improve what they do. Thanks to all of you for what you are doing for the world.
