Empowering communities facing climate change consequences in forest products availability

Good evening to all,

my name is Marta Suber and I'm working with Sonia Martel to the realization of a project in Spain with r\rural communities. Our project aims to differentiate forest products to guarantee a better and higher income possibilities for the rural community. the problematic we are addressing is the following:

  300 families of Quintanar de la Sierra, Burgos, España, are interested by lack of employment, caused by  the lack of specific formation. Additionally they are being affected by a lack of differenciation of the local economy and the lack of support to small enterprises, restricting the possibility of generating alternative incomes, as well as by a absence of understanding from the local administration for their situation.
  The combination of all these problmes is contributing to the unemployment that force local s to emigrate to the capital city . 

We are now in the phase of presenting our plan of action to the donors, but we still have some few days before doing it. Does any of you have resources, commentaries or experinece that would like to share with us and apport something to our project?
