Ecotourism in Latin America

dear mates,

 

I`m busy to look for information about the Ecotourism for my projects with my two colleagues. We`re analizying the challenges in a small community in Peru`and one of the topic is the reinforcement of the tourism as another kind of income.

I`d like to know if somebody can share some documents or links which would help us to testify that the ecotourism is a good approach to help the communities in South America.

Hola Roberta!! Ando en lo mismo, en comunidades andinas vanezolanas y también en comunidades indígenas del Amazonas. He trabajado en distintos proyectos y en varias comunidades. Mi experiencia indica que el punto de partida, el medio y el objetivo, es la comunidad de base que haga vida en el lugar. Es decir, cuando elevamos de manera participativa, el interés de los propios lugareños, el desarrollo del proyecto es mucho más efectivo. Diferente cuando lo sugiere una universidad o una ONG de la ciudad. Cuando el mecanismo de intervención es mínimo y sutil, pero fuerte y constante, el resultado es portentoso. Seguiremos escibiéndonos al respecto.-
